Professor Xiaotie Deng Wins Achievement Award of China’s Agent and Multi-agent System Research
On July 22nd, 2021, Xiaotie Deng, chair professor of CFCS, Peking University won the Achievement Award of China's agent and multi-agent system research on the CCFAI2021 hosted by CCF.
Professor Xiaotie Deng's current research focuses on the interaction between algorithm and game theory and has a number of outstanding original important achievements. His work includes the interaction between machine learning and game theory, consensus mechanism and game theory analysis in blockchain, and the application of incentive principles. Algorithmic game theory is an important field of artificial intelligence and a key research content of multi-agent system. Professor Deng's work plays an important leading role for advancing china's multi-agent system research and will have a profound impact.
Professor Deng's current research focuses on algorithmic game theory, with applications to Internet Economics and Finance including sponsored search auction, p2p network’s economics such as BitTorrent network, sharing economics, and blockchain. His other works cover online algorithms, parallel algorithms, and combinatorial optimization. He was elected as an ACM Fellow for his contributions to the interface of algorithmic methodology and game theory in 2008, and in 2019, Professor Deng was elected as an IEEE Fellow for his contributions to computing in partial information and interactive environments. In 2020, Professor Deng was elected as a foreign member of Academia Europaea.
