The First Award Ceremony of Outstanding Teaching Award Program of Computer Science is Held at Peking University
On November 6th, 2018, the first award ceremony of Outstanding Teaching Award Program of computer science was held at Peking University.

26 outstanding teachers from 9 universities in China were awarded and received the award certificates issued by the Computer Science Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the China Computer Federation (CCF) and the China Teacher Development Foundation.
John Hopcroft, Turing Award Winner, Chinese Government Friendship Award Winner, Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ping Hao, President of Peking University, Academician Shushen Li, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, President and Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shuguo Wang, President of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Academician Xi Zhang from Chinese Academy of Science, Deputy Director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Academician Qinping Zhao from Chinese Academy of Engineering, former Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education, Zhoufu Yang, member of the original party group of the Ministry of Education, assistant to the minister, and chairman of the China Teacher Development Foundation, Qingsen Xu, Deputy Director from Department of Higher Education of Ministry of Education, Jiantong Liu, inspector of Department of Teachers, Academician Jianping Wu from Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of the Computer-based Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Ministry of Education, Weiqing Tang, Deputy Secretary-general of China Computer Federation, and leaders and experts from the education, science, technology and business fields, teacher and student representatives and news media, nearly 200 people attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Professor Yonghe Zheng from Beijing Normal University, the former Director of the Policy Bureau of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
